Strategic Information & Technology Planning

A client was mired in character-based technology, had no operational management data, and had no practical means of using their information outside of the application that created it. An Information Systems Plan was developed that was linked to and prioritised by their business strategies. The Plan identified the information the company needed to manage its business, the technology to capture and deliver the information, and a practical timetable and budgets to accomplish the Plan. Success facilitated a review of the Plan every second year, providing technology reviews and a re-assessment of priorities and update of budgets.
